As part of the Weyside Urban Village regeneration, the Aggie Club have been provided with a new temporary building.

The new club opened on 1 Feb 2023 and is the first step in the multi-million-pound regeneration.  Just 100 meters from their former home the new temporary facility has capacity for 120 people, an events hall, members’ bar area, kitchen for the club’s popular café. activities.

Built using energy efficient technologies it has a low environmental impact. A new permanent facility will be provided later in the development programme; until then, the new temporary facility will be available for community use.

The Aggie Club has one of the best cafes in Guildford and a large hall which is available for hire for community and charity events, parties, weddings and birthdays. More information about the clubs activities and how to contact them is available on their Facebook page.

The old building will now be demolished as part of the works to deliver the first phase of the regeneration scheme.  The planning application for Phase 1 has been submitted, (application ref 20/P/02155).
