Meet the team

The project is being managed by the Weyside Project Management Team at Guildford Borough Council.  

Complex regeneration projects often require a multi-disciplinary approach, involving many specialists. The team at Guildford are supported by planning consultants, architects, transport planner, infrastructure advisors and experts in the environment.  

 Gleeds are project managing the regeneration.  They are responsible for reporting on the overall delivery and cost of the scheme. They will be working with the various workstreams to ensure the best value is delivered for all the parties to the project. 

   

Savills are providing planning consultancy advice on the project, They are responsible for co-ordinating and preparing all the planning applications.     

 Stantec are a consultancy of designers, engineers, scientists, and planners. They are delivering Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) services to the project team.  Their role is to maximise the  environmental and social opportunities and avoid or mitigate any adverse effects identified through the project delivery.  

Markides Associates

Markides are specialist transport planners and infrastructure engineers. They are working alongside the Weyside Project Team to deliver an exemplar sustainable development through the use of innovative transport solutions and good placemaking.   

BMD

 BMD are landscape architects and have worked with the project team to develop an integrated landscape strategy for the scheme. Landscape plays an important role across the site, connecting the development and wider community back to the River Wey.

jtp are an award-winning international placemaking practice of architects and master planners.  Their role is to work with communities and local groups on the design proposals for the scheme.  


AECOM

AECOM are the infrastructure advisors and are responsible for designing all the onsite infrastructure to deliver the development.  This includes power, water, sewerage and sitewide decontamination and remediation.

   

Chess Engage

Chess Engage specialise in communications consultancy in the planning, development and local government sectors.  There role is consult with residents, councillors and the wider community on all aspects of the development and lead on communications.
